MAKE SURE WE GET SAND BACK ON OUR BEACH

Please contact our county commissioners!

Ponte Vedra’s beach is now one of the only beaches in the entire state of Florida without a program in place to replenish its sand, despite being hit by two severe Category 3 hurricanes! Since the 1980’s, Ponte Vedra’s beach has lost a colossal 2.5 million cubic yards of sand (170,000 truckloads) and approximately 135 feet of width.

There is now little public beach to enjoy at high tide, while there is no protection against another severe hurricane season. The goal is to restore the sand that’s been lost by widening the beach.

Please contact our five Commissioners – ask for funds from the county’s budget surplus to re-nourish Ponte Vedra’s beach.
